(WXIA) -- Cathy Walker tries to feed healthy foods to her two sons, but keeping 14-month-old Hugh from making a mess can be a challenge.

That's why she's eager to try Squeez'Ems, which are advertised as reusable pouches that create a convenient, safe and mess-free way to eat pureed foods.

Cathy's first impression of the product is positive.

"I like it," she says.

She fills a Squeez'Em with applesauce, screws on the kid-safe cap and gives the pouch to Hugh.

"I really like it," Cathy says. "I think (Hugh) does too."

The pouch holds six ounces of applesauce; Cathy also tests it with yogurt. It works great for foods, but liquids like water pour right out.

Squeez'Ems sell for about $8 for two pouches. Cathy says they're easy to wash and refuse, and believes they could be a cost-effective alternative to expensive single-serve products.

However, Hugh is the true decision maker, and he seems happy with his new way to eat his favorite foods. Cathy and Hugh give Squeez'Ems two thumbs up.
