(WXIA) -- As a senior Mary Kay sales director, April Landrum-Johns knows how to apply makeup. She also knows how to protect it.
"You don't want to mix a lot of heat with makeup, especially here in Atlanta," she says. "You don't want to get a great new lipstick and have your Color Me Coral melt in the car!"
For her clients' sake, April needs her makeup to stay cool. That's why she's excited to try Vinci Designs' Cool-It-Caddy, which promises to keep makeup, medicine and even snacks chilled and fresh, no matter the temperature.
April's first reaction is positive: "I love that it's cute, I love that it's small and I love that it's trendy -- I like a print."
After chilling the device in the freezer, she fills it with her essentials. Everything fits -- lipstick, lip gloss, a compact and even sunscreen.
The bag is lined with ice packs, but April still thinks it's the perfect size.
"You don't want anything too big," she says.
She sets the bag outside in the sun to see if it can stand the heat. In about an hour, she checks on the product.
"It's not frozen, but it's cold," she says.
There's a little condensation on the bag, but everything inside is still intact, and some products are even cold.
At $25, April thinks the bag is definitely worth buying, and she believes any woman could use it. She gives the Cool-It Caddy two thumbs up.
