(WXIA) -- Every kitchen needs a good set of oven mitts for the cook to use while checking and moving hot food.
But, as anyone who's ever cooked can attest to, burns can still happen.
The Devil Oven Pull claims it is the fun and safe way to pull hot cookware and oven racks closer. The 8-inch gadget is made of silicone and is heat resistant up to 536 degrees.

Tester Nance likes it right away: "I like anything silicone."
While Nance's oven mitts work well, they easily get dirty when handling messy casseroles. Food can just be wiped off the Devil Oven Pull.
"I like it," Nance says. "You don't have to grab a potholder every time -- grab this little guy."
When it comes to pushing an oven rack back in, Nance doesn't have a problem with the device when she's using a muffin pan. However, she keeps her oven mitts handy for heavy poultry and roasts, as the product doesn't have the muscle for the job.
Still, at only $3, the little devil is a winner in Nance's book. She gives it two thumbs up.
