STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- A man was shot in the parking lot of a Stockbridge Walmart store on Monday afternoon.

According to Henry County Police, at around 2 p.m., police responded to a man who had been shot in the abdomen in the North Henry Boulevard store's parking lot.

Police said they believe the man met two others in the parking lot, where an altercation resulted in the shooting.

The victim was hospitalized at Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said theyare searching for a dark-colored early 2000s model Chevrolet Impala. They said the car drove off on North Henry Boulevard going toward Clayton County.
