JONESBORO, Ga. -- There may be a feeling of deja' vu in Clayton County Schools as the system faces yet another challenge to its accreditation.

It's the third time2008the district has received notification from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) of problems with the way the Clayton school board governs.

Board members received a warning letter from SACS Tuesday listing concerns about the conduct of board members. The letter all but accuses board members of continuing the micromanagement that got the district in trouble with SACS four years ago. In 2008, the agency revoked the system's accreditation.

"The current Board of Education continues to operate with much conflict between and among board members," the letter from stated. "There are reports of individual board members are operating independent of the school system and under the influence of outside agents."

The school board has not officially responded so far.
