ATLANTA - Monday, local and syndicated radio hostRob Redding offered a week of free advertising to Chick-fil-A on his radio show in the wake of the ongoing controversy over comments from company president Dan Cathy.

"Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy is entitled to his opinion," Redding said in a Monday morning statement. "All Christians need to stand up for what they believe."

Redding's support comes as others, including former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, have called for a "Chick-fil-A Day" in support of the restaurant chain on Wed., Aug. 1.

Rob Redding's show airs locally on WAOK, and nationally on Sirius XM's The Power, channel 128. The show is syndicated in several other large markets as well.
