ATLANTA -- 11Alive has been able to continue its quest of giving to those who will truly appreciate it.

On Thursday, Ted Hall was able to grant a woman a gift of a lifetime at the Southlake Mall Macy's.

Lurlean Grier, a single mother with two young children, recently lost her job. Due to her unemployment, she decided to go back to school to better herself and her family. She believed that she would not be able to provide Christmas for her daughters. She did not even have a Christmas tree up.

Bill Liss and the 11Alive Help Desk reached out to Macy's, who graciously offered to pay for the family to have a wonderful Christmas. Bill Liss also reached out Caring For Others Inc., a wonderful organization that helps individuals on the brink of homelessness. They believed that Lurlean would benefit greatly this generous gift.

When Ted Hall was able to present her with the shopping spree, she shed tears of appreciation. The 11Alive Help Desk and Macy's were able to restore hope in this woman's life and give her children a Christmas they will all always remember.
