SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- Two accidents in the same area of eastbound Interstate 285 tied up traffic on the top end of the Perimeter Wednesday morning.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said both accidents happened just west of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

The first wreck involved three cars, but no injuries were reported. Three cars were also involved in the second accident, and one person was injured.

At one point, three right lanes were affected by the crashes. The road has since reopened.
