ATLANTA, Ga. -- Nearly 1,000 local car enthusiasts cruised from Doraville to downtown Atlanta to commemorate the death of Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker.

The ride began at the Josephine Lounge on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard around 11 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Organizers said they would be stopping along the way to "take photos, rest and hangout" and that they would be collecting riders along the way.

The ride ended at the Varsity Restaurant in Midtown around 1:30 p.m.
