HAPEVILLE, Ga. -- The family of woman who police believe was tossed from a moving car into traffic Friday morning is making an emotional plea to the public for help.

Jorsea Critten, 22, underwent emergency surgery to repair a broken leg and a shattered pelvis at Grady Memorial Hospital Monday.

"They treat dogs better than my daughter," Critten's mother Izivia Woodbury said. "They just tossed her from the car."

Critten's family believes she may have been the victim of a robbery. Her family says the 22-year-old recently received a $2,000 settlement check. Her family say the money is now missing.

Hapeville Police are investigating how Critten ended up on the interstate. Investigators say they don't have any solid information about a motive in the case.
