FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Three people were injured in a crash on Interstate 85 in south Fulton County on Friday.
The accident happened after Senoia Road on I-85 around 5:15.m. According to Melissa Parker of the Fulton County Police Department, a pickup truck lost control and collided into a tractor-trailer headed the same direction. The collision sent both vehicles towards the shoulder. The tractor-trailer struck the guardrail and then hit the pillar of a bridge. The trailer separated from the cab and overturned.
The driver of the truck was ejected and life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition.
Two people in the pickup truck were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several northbound lanes of Interstate 85 were blocked at exit 61 after the accident.
