(WXIA) – There are reports of trees down and other damage from Thursday evening's storms that sped across the metro area.
Police dispatchers in Rome said there was a mudslide blocking the road along Horse Leg Creek at Blacks Bluff Road in southern Floyd County.
Trees were reported down across the southern portion of Floyd County. Additional reports of downed trees were received from Polk County. An unconfirmed report from Cedartown said that a tree had fallen across a house.
Trees were reported down across parts of Douglas, Cobb and Fulton counties, with several reports from within the city of Atlanta.
Atlanta Police reported that there was a tree down in southwest Atlanta with possible injuries. An 11Alive News crew is en route to the scene.
One Severe Thunderstorm Watch had been in effect for much of the western portion of metro Atlanta for much of the late afternoon and early evening hours before it was canceled. A second storm watch remained in effect through midnight.
