FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Forsyth County released the 911 calls from Friday's shooting incident outside the courthouse in downtown Cumming.

The 911 calls captured the chaos, the concern and the raw terror of the people caught in the middle of the shooting.

"A car ran into it. And shots are still being fired," one caller tells the operator.

The Sheriff's Department says Dennis Marx tried to ram his SUV into the front entrance of the courthouse Friday morning. Investigators say Marx was armed with several guns and homemade explosives.

Investigators say Marx shot deputy James Rush in the leg before being killed in a shootout with several deputies. Deputy Rush underwent surgery for his injuries but is expected to make a full receovery.

The Sheriff's Office says Marx was scheduled to enter a guilty plea to marijuana possession charges on the morning of the incident.
