ATLANTA -- A mistake on a prominent sign over the Downtown Connector in Atlanta has been corrected.
The sign for exit 249C directed drivers to "Ga Dome/Aquairium." It (apparently) meant to point the way towards the Georgia Aquarium, one of the city's biggest tourist attractions.
Georgia Department of Transportation spokesperson Natalie Dale said was the work of a subcontractor who builds the signs for them. The work order was put in with correct spelling, Dale said.
The subcontractor replaced it Wednesday at no cost to the DOT or the taxpayers, Dale said.
Last month, a sign along Highway 316 pointed towards "Georgia Gwinett College."It has since been fixed.
