(WXIA) -- A recent poll found the majority of Georgians agree with the decision to treat two American Ebola patients at Emory University Hospital.

In an exclusive 11Alive News poll conducted by research firm SurveyUSA, 66 percent of those who participated said they are fine with Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol receiving treatment at the Atlanta hospital.

Twenty-one percent of those polled said they do not agree with the decision to bring the patients to Atlanta, while 13 percent were not sure.

According to a recent update from Emory University Hospital, both Brantly and Writebol are now "immune" and unable to infect anyone else with Ebola.

Brantly released a statement saying he is "recovering in every way" and can't wait to be reunited with his wife and children. Writebol and her husband, fellow missionary David Writebol, saw each other this weekend for the first time in three weeks.
