Fayetteville Police Lt. Mike Whitlow said Quincy was stabbed at around 8 p.m. Monday after getting into an argument with Mahdi at a house on Sylvan Loop, just off West Fayetteville Road.
Responding officers found Quincy bleeding from several stab wounds, according to Whitlow. He was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators arrested Mahdi after collecting evidence at the scene and speaking to witnesses.
Whitlow said Quincy visited the house to offer his nephew help and a place to live, but the two got into a heated argument that ended with the victim's death.
Mahdi is being held in the Fayette County Jail.
