The incident happened Sunday around 5 p.m. on Price Way off of Sardis Road. State troopers say a parked 1988 Acura rolled out of a garage, down the driveway, and into a neighbor's yard across the street.
According to the GSP report, Myrna told investigators the car has a standard transmission. She was on her way to run an errand, took it out of gear then realized she didn't have the keys to the car. Investigators say she went back into her home and despite setting the emergency brake.
"The kids across the street had been playing outside all day. The parents told them to take a break in the shade under the tree in the front yard and that's where the car rolled," Forrester said.
11Alive News talked to one of the fathers of the injured as he was rushing to the hospital.
"I'm one of the parents and I saw the whole thing," said the man.
According to the GSP, a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old were airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, while two 1-year-olds were taken to other hospitals.
