ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- More jobs are on the way for Metro Atlanta from a leading health technology company.

With Metro Atlanta unemployment down to 8.4 percent from almost 10 percenta year ago, the Atlanta Business Chronicle is reporting that Boston area based athenahealth, Inc, is expanding its Alpharetta operations and is considering a Southern hub in Metro Atlanta that will bring in more than 400 jobs with the first of them expected before year-end.

The company specializes in electronic health records and medical billing and practice management. athenahealth, Inc., is one of more than 200 health technology companies now in Georgia employing 16,000 people.
