GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Police are releasing new information to try to solve a 2008 cold case.

Former model Eva Kay Wenal was found dead in her home in Gwinnett County four years ago. Her husband, Harold Wenal, a real estate developer, discovered her body in their kitchen.

He was eventually cleared in her death and recently died of natural causes.

This week investigators released to the media pictures found in Wenal's home after his death. A man in some of the pictures matches a police sketch created from a witness description back in 2008.

"Family members looking through these photos noticed a similarity between...this person and a sketch that was done previously," said Gwinnett County Police spokesperson Cpl. Jake Smith.

Police are calling the man in the photographs a person of interest. "This is someone we've never been able to identify and someone we would like to speak to," Smith said. "None of the family members or friends we've spoken to seem to know who this person is."

Police also released a letter someone sent to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the case in 2008. It looks like a ransom letter made of letters cut from magazine articles.

Investigators have also never been able to identify who sent the letter, but believe it may have been sent by Wenal's killer.

Anyone who recognizes the person of interest is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or Gwinnett Police Department detectives at 770-513-5300.
