ROSWELL, Ga. -- One person was killed in a single-car accident in Roswell Tuesday morning.

The wreck happened at around 5:45 a.m. at the intersection of Crabapple and Hembree roads.

Roswell Police Officer Zac Frommer said the car left the road and hit a tree. The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hembree Road was closed at the scene for a few hours as police investigated the accident. It was reopened at around 9 a.m.
