PHILADELPHIA (USA Today) -- A Mexican food truck exploded Tuesday evening in Northeast Philadelphia, critically burning two women and injuring about 10 other people, according to news reports.
Investigators said a propane tank blew up inside the truck about 5:30 p.m. in the city's Feltonville neighborhood.
A 40-year-old woman suffered third-degree burns over almost all of her body, and a 25-year-old woman suffered second- and third-degree burns to nearly 100% of her body, KYW-TV reported.
The station also said that a 33-year-old man suffered first-degree burns, and that nine other people were taken to city hospitals with minor injuries.The Philadelphia Inquirer said 10 people were injured, while WCAU-TV reported eight injuries.
The La Parrillada Chapina truck was parked near an auto body shop on 3rd Street and Wyoming Avenue, WCAU-TV said.
