(WXIA) – In the wake of the Supreme Court's decision this week regarding Hobby Lobby's wish to not pay for insurance which covers some contraceptives for employees, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says they will release a new billboard ad suggesting a connection between abortion and veganism.
In a release, PETA says they plan to have the billboard placed near the Oklahoma City corporate headquarters of Hobby Lobby.
The billboard features a slaughtered and de-feathered chicken with the caption "Killed at 7 weeks: A buffalo wing stops a beating heart. Go vegan."
"No matter where people stand on contraception or abortion, they can save lives and protect individual liberty three times a day by going vegan," PETA's director of Christian outreach and engagement Sarah King told Oklahoma City NBC station KFOR. "Choosing vegan meals is an empowering way of preserving the lives of all beings."
