ATLANTA -- Parishioners at the Butler Street Church in the Sweet Auburn area have been in parking Purgatory. Surrounded by two hospitals and a busy marketplace means very little available parking for the 128-year-old institution.

Church officers say volunteers regularly receive parking tickets when they come to help feed the homeless.

To make matters worse, the City of Atlanta further restricted formerly free street parking, after the Church asked public officials for help.

But now 11Alive has taken up the cause and is looking for help in high places... The Atlanta City Council.
