ATLANTA - Atlanta Public Works crews were on Bohler Court to repair a massive pothole just days after a city taxpayer contacted Commuter Dude.
The pothole has been patched, but Commuter Dude is looking for a more permanent fix.
For months, Denise Kopcha watched and measured the obstruction at the end of her driveway.
"There are a lot of children on this street," said Kopcha. "They used to come out and ride their bikes. With this, no one rides their bikes anymore."
A month ago, Denise reported the problem to the city of Atlanta. When nothing changed, she turned to Commuter Dude.
The Bohler Court area is a familiar one to 11Alive. A quick check of the Commuter Dude archives takes us back to late 2010, and the cone cemented into adjacent Bohler Road. It was the scene of a Commuter Dude victory. Once the cone was evicted, the road was patched, then repaved.
Two days after Commuter Dude contacted the city of Atlanta, crews patched the problem on Bohler Court.
Commuter Dude is following up with the city, asking crews to put Bohler Court on its list of streets to be repaved.
