SANDY SPRINGS, Ga -- The celebration is underway on Johnson Ferry Road, where traffic lights have replaced a hated four-way stop.
Kimberly Cox is one of many who complained long and loud about the stop signs that snarled the commute at Johnson Ferry and Wright Road.
Cox enlisted Commuter Dude to push for a change. The city of Sandy Springs responded by installing "smart" lights that allow traffic to flow on Johnson Ferry, but also allow neighbors enough green to enter from side streets.
The city will monitor the light and adjust the timing when necessary.
