ATLANTA -- It took a year, but Tim Small is finally confident the sidewalk along Peachtree Hills Avenue isn't going to collapse beneath his feet.
It was July, 2013, when Small first contacted Commuter Dude about the earth that was sinking beneath the sidewalk near his home.
City crews responded and filled the hole with dirt. When the ground continued to sink, crews filled it with dirt and gravel.
A year later, the sinking continued.
Commuter Dude contacted the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. Crews placed cones and barrels around the issue. A month later, they returned to repair a damaged sewer line and fill the hole, topping it off with cement.
Mission accomplished. Finally.
