(WXIA) - When the 220-story Sky City building is completed in the Chinese city of Changsha in March, it will be the world's tallest building, surpassing the present record holder, the 2,719 foot tall Burj Khalifa in Dubai by about 30 feet.

What's even more remarkable than the size of the building is that the construction company, Chinese builder Broad Sustainable Building, says they will construct the building from the ground up in 90 days. The company says they will use components and resources prefabricated offsite and assembled on location.

BSB has experience with this sort of construction. In 2010, they built a 15 story hotel in 48 hours, and in 2011,construction of a 30 story hotel building was completed in only 15 days.

The company says that their construction method will create a low-cost, low-overhead building easily. They say that their projects are earthquake resistant up to a magnitude 9 earthquake, and that the buildings are environmentally friendly and have a high level thermal efficiency, all due to the construction method they use.

They say that Sky City will be able to be constructed for a fraction of the cost of the construction of the Burj Khalifa.
