(WXIA) -- The remainder of the 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame class will be announced Wednesday, and two Braves players are among the favorites.
Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine have both been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Between the two of them, there are six Cy Young Awards. Each are 300 game winners.
Maddux, who owns four of the Cy Youngs, and 355 career wins appears to be a lock. Glavine should make it, but 11Alive News Sportscaster Fred Kalil says the writers who control the Hall of Fame "have been known to do things out of the ordinary".
Glavine has 305 career wins, two Cy Young awards and was the 1995 World Series MVP.
The results will be announced through the MLB at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. A press conference is scheduled for Thursday.
11Alive's Fred Kalil recently sat down with Glavine and longtime Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone. Mazzone says both of the former Braves deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.
You can see Fred Kalil's piece with Mazzone and Galvine tonight on 11Alive at 11:00.
