Who has the best high school boys sports program in the country? Norcross High School has made it to the regional round of voting.

USA TODAY High School Sports is giving fans the opportunity to decide which boys' program is the best, in three rounds of voting:

Round Dates:

  • Regional: Aug. 27 – Sept. 4
  • National: Sept. 5 – Sept. 12

Semi-final Round – Begins at 12:00 p.m. (E.T.) Aug. 27, 2014 and ends at 2:00 p.m. (E.T.) Sept. 4. The schools that receive the highest number of eligible votes from each region (one per region) will advance to the final round. The next two highest vote getters (no matter what region) will receive a wild card, and advance to the final round. There will be 10 total schools that will advance to the final round.

Final Round - Begins at 12:00 p.m. (E.T.) Sept. 5, 2014 and ends at 2:00 p.m. (E.T.) Sept. 12. The school that receives the highest number of eligible votes from the final voting round will be the winner.

Prizes:

  • First Place: The Athletic Dept. of the high school will receive $1,000 and a banner
  • Second Place: The Athletic Dept. of the high school will receive $500 and a banner
  • Third Place: The Athletic Dept. of the high school will receive $250 and a banner

Norcross: The Blue Devils have been particularly strong in basketball, with five state championships and one second-place finish. They have sent four players to the NBA, three to the NFL and two to the Olympics. They also have won two state football championships and one in golf.

Here were the other Georgia teams that made it into round 1:

Buford: The Wolves have been particularly strong in football, winning 10 state titles, placing second four times and sending three players to the NFL. They also have won two championships in baseball and track and one in wrestling. Their basketball team has finished second four times and their cross country team has finished second on two occasions.

Lowndes County: Valdosta High long has been a recognized national football power, but Lowndes has taken over area supremacy in recent years with five state titles and five graduates reaching the NFL. The Vikings also have won two baseball crowns, placed second twice and sent brothers J.D., Tim and Stephen Drew -- all first-round draft picks -- to the major leagues. The golf team has won one state title and the track team has placed second once.

North Gwinnett: The Bulldogs' athletic program has exploded during the past 10 years. The program has had a pair of state runner-up finishes in football while sending three players to the NFL. The Bulldogs also have sent two players to Major League Baseball.

Wheeler: Two Wheeler graduates have won gold medals in the Olympics and three have played in the NFL. The Wildcats also have sent graduates to the NBA and PGA. Basketball has been their top sport, with five state titles and three runner-up finishes. They also have notched three titles and one second place in golf and one title each in baseball, track and wrestling, plus three seconds in wrestling.
