ALPHARETTA, Ga - While Braves officials are still awaiting the doctor's decision regarding Kris Medlen's season, we caught up with a Braves legend to get his take.
John Smoltz says he wishes he could give Medlen "half his time" because of how much he respects and admires the 28 year old from California.
Medlen, who already had Tommy John surgery in 2010, left the game in the 4th inning on Sunday grabbing his elbow. Monday, Braves GM Frank Wren told the media that the MRI "does show some involvement of the ligament. We don't know the extent yet, he's going to have continued tests."
Fred Kalil caught up with Braves Hall of Famer John Smoltz, who says there are a record number of Tommy John surgeries around Major League Baseball... and league officials are going about it the wrong way.
