COBB COUNTY, Ga. – Newly-released draft documents detail the deal between Cobb County and the Atlanta Braves to bring a new baseball stadium to the county.

The deal between the Braves and Cobb County is set to run through Dec. 31, 2046. The total projected cost to build the stadium is $622 million, according to the documents. The maximum cost, which includes discretionary funds for parking, infrastructure and transportation, is listed at $672 million.

Cobb County is contributing $368 million of those costs, the documents outline.

The Braves will pay the county $6.1 million in rent annually. The team will have the option of selling naming rights to the stadium.

The county will have the option of using the stadium for three events per year, under the agreement. That does not include sporting events or concerts, which the team will have the right to hold at the new stadium.

The documents outline the construction schedule for the new schedule. According to the papers, stadium construction will begin no later than Nov. 1, 2014 and be completed by Jan. 24, 2017.

Under the agreement, the county agrees to pay the Braves a maximum of $35 million for maintenance and repairs to the new stadium over the 30-year deal.
