ATLANTA -- The NBA released their official 2014-15 schedule Wednesday evening. The Atlanta Hawks will begin their quest for the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy on Wednesday, October 29 against the Raptors in Toronto.
The home opener, at Philips Arena, will be Saturday, November 1 against the Indiana Pacers.
Over the course of their 82-game regular season schedule, the Hawks are set for four national television appearances -- November 10 against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on NBA TV, January 14 at TD Garden in Boston against the Celtics on ESPN, at home on January 19 against the Detroit Pistons on ESPN and in New Orleans on February 2, when they take on the Pelicans on NBA TV.
The Hawks will play each Eastern Conference team four times over the season -- with four exceptions: Boston, Chicago, Indiana and New York, which they will each face three times. The Hawks will play against each Western Conference team twice over the season.
The team has a homestand around Thanksgiving, taking on Toronto (Wed., November 26), New Orleans (Fri., November 28) and Charlotte (Sat., November 29). A second homestand comes up in late December just before and after Christmas: Los Angeles Clippers (Tue., December 23), Milwaukee (Fri., December 26) and Cleveland (Tue., December 30).
The annual MLK Day game will be played on Mon., January 19, when the Hawks host the Detroit Pistons at 2:30 p.m.
