ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech's football team kicked off spring practice Monday at the team's Rose Bowl practice field.

The Yellow Jackets must replace starting quarterback Vad Lee, who left Tech and transferred to James Madison.

Justin Thomas and Tim Byerle are battling for the job along with two freshmen.

The Jackets will practice Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat leading up to the annual T-day spring football game Friday night April 18 at Grant Field.
