The Falcons have several needs that can be addressed in the upcoming NFL Draft. GM Thomas Dimitroff talked to the media today about the Falcons possibilities.


Flowery Branch, Ga -- Falcons General Manager Thomas Dimitroff met the media Wednesday afternoon to talk about the upcoming NFL draft.

The Falcons hold the 6th overall pick in the draft which kicks off Thursday,May 8. There are varying schools of thought on who the Falcons might draft and where the team needs the most help.

Offensive tackle is a need and there are a couple of big names out there. Auburn's Greg Robinson is considered top prospect by many.

On defense, linebacker Anthony Barr is a name that has been tossed around in Flowery Branch. At 6-5, 255 pounds with a 40 time in the 4.6 range It's no wonder the Falcons and others are interested in the UCLA product. There's always the possibility of trading up to draft South Carolina's Jadaveon Clowney.
