The Atlanta Falcons held the teams' 7th annual Fishing with the Falcons outing on Lake Lanier. The team pays tribute to wounded military veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan during a fishing outing and cookout at the lake.

Buford, Ga -- The Atlanta Falcons held the teams' 7th annual Fishing with the Falcons outing on Lake Lanier. The team pays tribute to wounded military veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan during a fishing outing and cookout at the lake. Now in its seventh year the event has wounded veterans paired with a Falcons player on a fishing boat with a chance to compete for some nice prizes. The categories are: the most catches, the largest striper fish, the largest spotted bass fish, the smallest striper fish and the smallest spotted bass. The veterans were joined by Falcons players and coaches. Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan was one of the first on hand Wednesday afternoon. Even Falcons cheerleaders and alumni like Dave Archer and Michael Haynes were on board for the event. The fishing was followed by a special cookout hosted by Head Coach Mike Smith. The Falcons return to the field tomorrow for more OTA's, Next week is mini-camp.
