LOS ANGELES -- A loud vehicle crash into a parking structure at Los Angeles International Airport led to the evacuation of a terminal and a lot of nervous passengers Friday night.
Police said that after a van crashed into a parking structure, they told air passengers inside Terminal 4 at the airport to get on the floor. In addition, airport police evacuated the building.
Helicopter images from Los Angeles NBC station KNBC, show police having cleared the roadway from around the terminal building. Images also show what appears to be a van that struck a building in the terminal area.
No injuries were reported.
The incident follows a November 1 shooting at the airport, when a lone gunman opened fire in Terminal 3, killing a TSA officer and wounding four others.
