A cold front moving in helped to generate some of those showers and storms that moved in late Thursday afternoon into the evneing.
The front will push the rain to the south overnight into Friday. Even though this is called a cold front, it's really just the leading edge of drier air that will move in. We will actually warm up behind the front.
We will be watching to see how far south the front will move on Friday. For now, we will leave a slight chance for a shower (20%) in the forecast, but much of the rain should remain south.
Look for sunshine over the weekend and warmer high temps. Around 90 degrees both Saturday and Sunday.
Cooler air will be moving in next week.
