There will be a few changes on Friday. A few more clouds will begin to move back into the area later in the afternoon.
High temperatures Friday will move up to 66 degrees. It will drop to 61 degrees as the sun is setting at 6:46. It will get progressively cooler as the kids are out during the evening hours. We will move to 56 at 8pm and 52 at 9pm. There will be a few clouds around. A few sprinkles are possible mainly in NW Georgia.
A freeze watch is in effect for parts of north Georgia Friday night into Saturday morning. It includes Dawson, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, Murray, Pickens, Towns, Union and White Counties. In these areas, temperatures will move into the low 30s by Saturday morning. We are also watching a little moisture coming in with this front. There is a chance for some blowing snow flurries in extreme north Georgia overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Grassy areas and elevated surface could see some light accumulations. We aren't expecting any to stick to the roads.
It gets really cold and blustery on Saturday. We start off in the mid 30s Saturday morning. We will get up to 53 in the afternoon. Winds will be blowing between 15-25mph with higher gusts. It gets even colder Sunday morning. This could be our first official freeze of the season. We expect to hit 32 in Atlanta Sunday morning. We will warm to 58 in the afternoon with mostly sunny skies.
It gets warmer next week. Our next chance of rain will be late Wednesday into Thursday.
