Rain and patchy fog persist this evening and into the early morning hours Tuesday. A few thunderstorms possible. Overnight lows will be in the mid 40s.
We will likely see some scattered showers early Tuesday and are monitoring another rain system for late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. There is a chance for a few strong, possibly severe, thunderstorms mixed in. We will keep monitoring this closely. Rain will be heavy at times, and estimated totals range from 3-4 inches. Travel will likely be impacted, both on the roads and with air delays.
There is still a chance that early Christmas morning that a few flurries could slide in to the north Georgia mountains, however, since the ground temperatures will be very warm, no accumulation is expected at this time. The rest of Christmas day will be mostly sunny, but colder, with high temperatures in the low 50s.
