A driver is in police custody after he rode the wrong direction on I-285 near Flatshoals Road Tuesday before coming to a stop at Riverdale Rd.
Police say 26-year-old Aaron Yarbrough was driving a U-Haul truck westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around 7:30 Tuesday morning. Yarbrough was taken into custody after he traveled 12 miles in the wrong direction. He has since been charged with Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, Reckless Driving, Hit and Run and Obstruction of an Officer.
Investigators say Yarbrough caused at least two accidents in DeKalb County before crashing head on with a car driving on the Riverdale Road on ramp at I-285 East.

Officials say after the crash, Yarbrough tried to run away from the scene, but was stopped by a Fairburn Police officer who saw him trying to flee.
Clayton County Police, Fairburn Police and College Police responded to the scene of the wreck where at least eight vehicles were involved.
