ATLANTA – The convenience of waiting for an Uber can be quite inconvenient. There is a surge in pricing if you request a ride during peak hours, and at some point you may not reach your destination in time because you requested a ride too late.
Well fear less because of late arrivals from your driver. Uber has officially started offering scheduled rides in Atlanta. The new service option began in June and has been coming to select cities after “top requests” from riders with early morning trips.
The company, which prides itself for providing an on-demand travel service, says it’s nice to have extra assurance that a ride will be available when customers are in need.
With just a few taps to the app, riders are able to schedule an Uber ride for as little as 15 minutes to as many as 30 days in advance.
Business Profile and Uber for Business users in Atlanta will have priority access, along with riders who signed up to be the first to try it out in their city.
What is a Business Profile? Any rider with a work email address can create a Business Profile within their existing Uber account to separate work and personal rides. Business Profiles ensure that work related rides can be automatically expensed by linking the correct credit card, email, and expense provider to your rides.
The service is expected to roll out to all riders in Atlanta throughout the next few weeks.
