DECATUR, GA. - DeKalb County schools will reopen on Friday, Sept. 15, after being closed for the past four days in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
The system said Thursday afternoon that all of its campuses have power.
Georgia Power said Thursday morning that it expects to have service restored to 95 percent of its Atlanta customers by 10 am Friday morning.
Earlier this week, DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond declared a state of emergency due to widespread storm damage and downed power lines.
