It has been a beautiful day across north Georgia as temperatures rose into the 80s with plenty of sunshine.
For tonight, temperatures fall back to the 60s with cloud cover increasing.
Friday will bring in shower and thunderstorm activity toward the end of the morning commute and into the afternoon. Rain won't be constant, but scattered showers and storms will impact us as temperatures rise into the mid-70s.
A storm or two south of Atlanta and closer to Macon may be strong with damaging wind being the main threat.
The Marginal Risk will continue for parts of the area on Saturday with more scattered showers and thunderstorms expected. Damaging wind is still the main threat and the threat Saturday also includes the Atlanta metro.
Expect temperatures on Saturday to bring lows in the 60s and highs in the upper 70s with a mostly cloudy sky.
Sunday will bring drier conditions back in with a partly cloudy sky and just a slight chance for a few isolated showers, mainly in the morning with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s.
Monday through Wednesday will be completely dry with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s under a partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky each day.
Thursday will then bring a mostly cloudy sky with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s and a slight chance for rain returning to the forecast.
Expect anywhere from one to three inches of rain to occur this next week across north Georgia with a majority of that happening Friday and Saturday.
