"Even though we disagree a lot on rights, we're really bent on fighting for them as a country!"
A strong message from Center for Civil and Human Rights CEO Dr. Derreck Kayongo.
Born in Uganda, forced to Kenya as a refugee, and raised by a missionary woman from Pittsburgh, Kayongo had a really unique upbringing.
He later formed the non-profit Global Soap Project, a mission to save lives and the environment.
Kayongo sits down with Atlanta Business Chronicle's David Rubinger to talk about his history and important role at the Center for Civil and Human Rights.
He highlights Atlanta as the "city of rights" because rights began here.
