ATLANTA HAWKS AND CROWN ROYAL TEAM UP FOR ‘CROWNING COURAGE’ EVENT TO PROVIDE MILITARY MEMBERS A PREMIUM EXPERIENCE AT PHILIPS ARENA ON SUNDAY, MAR. 4
For a second consecutive season, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Crown Royal are teaming up to honor active and retired military personnel. As an expression of gratitude, they are providing a premium seat experience on Sunday, Mar. 4, for the “Crowning Courage” event in lead up to the club’s 3:30 p.m. contest against the Phoenix Suns.
Hawks season ticket members generously donated courtside seats ensuring a premium experience for military members and their guests. Each military member will also receive a customized Atlanta Hawks jersey displaying his or her name and military unit number at a private reception prior to the game. Atlanta Hawks Owner Jami Gertz and CEO Steve Koonin will address both veterans and Season Ticket Members in lead up to a special discussion between Sgt. Wesley Hillis, US Marine Corps and Stephen Wilson, Director of Whisky Engagement for Crown Royal.
The official jersey patch partner of the Atlanta Hawks, Sharecare, Inc., will also contribute by donating 20 select lower-level seats to veterans.
With a bold identity and strong new ownership, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Philips Arena remain committed to making Atlantans proud on the court and off. The 2014-15 Southeast Division Champions, the Hawks have made the postseason in 10 consecutive seasons and reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history in 2015. Off the court, the organization has built a culture of inclusion, diversity and innovation, all with a touch of Southern Hospitality. It continues into the community where the organization builds bridges through basketball, whether by constructing and refurbishing courts in Atlanta neighborhoods, providing scholarships to our basketball camps, or surprising and delighting our fans with unique Atlanta Hawks experiences.
