Georgia Natural Gas, in partnership with Midtown Alliance, eWaste/ePlanet and Novare Group, are asking Atlanta to “Unplug” on Earth Day. The 4th annual electronics recycling event will be held in the courtyard of the Biltmore, located at 817 W. Peachtree Street in Atlanta on Friday, April 22, 2016, from 8AM to 2PM.
“Earth Day is about environmental stewardship and bringing awareness to the small things we can do to make a big difference,” said Maurice Baker, manager of community relations, Georgia Natural Gas.” This is our fourth year hosting this event, and each time it gets bigger and better than the year before. The success we have achieved would not be possible without our community partners or residential support.”
The public is invited to bring old electronic equipment, which includes computers, printers, fax machines, TVs, toasters, radios, microwaves and cell phones to be recycled. Participants also will be eligible to win prizes during the event, including a grand prize 40 inch flat screen television.*
Earth Day is an environmental movement that was born in 1970 and is commemorated each year on April 22, to demonstrate support for a greener way of life.
