Adrianne "Addie" Haney is a senior digital content producer and writer for 11Alive in Atlanta. She is an Atlanta native and joined the 11Alive News team in March 2015 as an assignment desk assistant before joining the 11Alive digital team.
Addie studied broadcast journalism at Elon Unviersity in Elon, N.C. where her interests in writing and video production took off. Addie gained experience from internships at NBC Nightly News in New York City and WRAL.com in Raleigh, N.C. She also got the opportunity to cover international Internet conferences in Geneva, Switzerland and Hong Kong, China, as well as the 2012 election of North Carolina's governor Pat McCrory. She finished off her college career with a fellowship grant to Quito, Ecuador from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting to report on the country's education system.
As an international studies minor, Addie's curiosity in global affairs pushed her to study abroad in Istanbul, Turkey, where she traveled throughout the country and neighboring countries to learn about the region.
Since joining the 11Alive News team, Addie has helped produce several digital projects, including the #ThirdCoastATL and In Consruction specials, and has helped break significant stories in Atlanta, including the I-85 collapse.
When she is not producing content for 11Alive.com, Addie enjoys music, watching plays, exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, cooking and crafting. She is also a self-professed space and astronomy geek.
She hopes to one day fuse her loves of storytelling, travel and video production to produce multi-media stories to present to audiences.
