Katherine Wiley is a multi-platform producer at 11Alive in Atlanta, Ga. She is Ohio born, Kentucky raised, and joined the 11Alive team in January of 2020.
She graduated from the E.W. Scripps College of Communications at Ohio University in 2016. Before joining the 11Alive team, she was a producer at The Weather Channel and produced the 11 p.m. evening news at WSAZ in Huntington-Charleston, West Virginia.
During the first five years of her career, Katherine has been involved in covering a wide range of impactful stories including the opioid epidemic in rural Appalachia and the COVID-19 pandemic. She’s also produced coverage of several major hurricanes, most notably Hurricane Michael in 2018. It was the first storm to make landfall as a Category 5 storm since 1992, causing wide-spread damage throughout Florida and Georgia.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling to new places, and baking sweet treats!
