By The Numbers Week of October 29

Patrick looks at the best places in Georgia to retire and whether your job is making you fat.

Patrick reveals the best cities in Georgia for retirement and the reasons workers say they gain weight on the job.

A recent WalletHub survey shows Atlanta as the fifth best city to retire.

The survey compared the ‘retirement friendliness’ of the 150 largest U.S. cities.

It used four key data points: affordability, quality of life, health care and the availability of recreational activities.

The data was then evaluated using 40 relevant metrics which range from cost of living, to retired tax payer friendliness, to share of the 65-year and older population.

Atlanta scored high in many categories and ranks number one in ‘adult volunteer activities per capita.’

For those who don’t have the luxury of retirement, there’s always work.

And a CareerBuilder survey finds three in five workers complain of being burned out, with 31 percent reporting high levels of stress.

It’s no secret that stress can lead to physical and emotional issues like constant fatigue, sleeplessness and weight gain.

But the bottom line of this survey shows that workers should make certain they take vacations.

It will help to maintain personal sanity as well as those waistlines.
