SwatchPop! founders Jessica McRae and Kristen Yonson recently won Atlanta's Tech Crunch Pitch in February. In May, they headed to New York to take their place in Startup Alley at TechCrunch Disrupt NY. Titania Jordan sat down with the designer duo this week on Tech Edge.
Women in Technology held their annual fund raising event, WIT Connect. More than 600 supporters are expected to raise $300,000 that will go towards WIT Girls, WIT Campus, grants to STEM-focused nonprofits, and other WIT initiatives.
Several area non-profits will be pitching for funds next week at Philantrhopitch. Entrepreneurs, business leaders and philanthropists will serve as judges who will critique and personally fund these groups. Philanthropitch is happening June 9th from 5:30-8:30pm at the Junior Achievement Discovery Center in the Georgia World Congress Center.
